Embroidery – other

I have really enjoyed stitching Jen Goodwins “White Hart” Jacobean Crewelwork piece recently. This was a distance learning class with short videos posted to Dropbox each week to learn the stitches. I decided to take this class as I have done very little Crewelwork previously and I wanted to became familiar with some of the stitches. While some of the videos were a little difficult to see and I also wasn’t sure which colour wool to use at various points in the design, I am very happy with the final result. The Renaissance Dying crewel wools were beautiful to stitch with, and have really lovely colours.

  1. I have seen pictures of this on the web and loved the colours. Your long and short stitching looks lovely, this is something I am really struggling with at the moment.

  2. I think you have done a great job here and by not knowing what colours quite to use, you have created a piece unique to you!
